Marcia began this company by acquiring one small contract. Each year the company grew and before long the basement of her home could not feasibly hold any more employees. CAS Associates continues to grow and expand. Besides managing office staff, coordinating procedures and load leveling, Marcia is responsible for payroll, invoicing, and analyzing this industry to determine how to best adapt to the needs of our customers.
Even before CAS Associates existed, Teresa worked for Marcia in other capacities and is now considered second in charge. She began transcribing investigations from her home and then was enticed into joining the office staff. She is knowledgeable about rules compliance, union timelines, but her primary responsibility is to facilitate the completion of transcripts, and ensure that decision letters are put out accurately and within established union agreement timelines.
Michelle originally started in our letter area. It wasn't long before we discovered she had an uncanny ability to proofread. She's now the manager in the letter area and has the primary responsibility of developing letter procedural processes and ensures we all adhere to them. Among many other duties, Michelle prepares drug and alcohol charge letters, coordinates and monitors our medical letters, and from time to time will assist other staff in preparing notices, postponements, and waiver letters.
Jenna first started with our company as a part-time "night faxer." She now works full-time in the Letter Department. Her main area of responsibility is to update discipline, update discipline logs and calendars. Jenna's degree is in Graphic Design, and so she's the individual responsible for our website updates. In addition, she also works directly with many managers in preparation of notices, postponements, waivers, leniency agreements, etc.
Ronda works in the Letter Department directly with our managers to prepare charge notices, postponements, waivers, conferences and training forms, as well as assists with database entry and emailing each day. In addition, she's become an expert on preparing drug and alcohol charge notices and we've learned that she has a strong ability to problem solve those quirky computer glitches we all encounter from time to time.
Deanna has been a part of this team for many years, working as a transcriptionist from her home. Deanna originally transferred to the Letter Department, however we have recently moved her into the Transcript Department where she logs new digital files into our database, scans exhibits, certify transcripts, prepares assessment letters, and works to finalize and mail out transcripts within established union agreement timelines.
Jessica is in charge of processing our mail and monitoring the proofing stations to ensure the mail is addressed and processed as intended. In addition she updates Discipline Logs, Calendars, assists in Invoicing, and stages investigations for mailing. Jessica does the purchasing for the office and daily file scanning.
Amy has also been a part of this team for many years, working as a transcriptionist from her home. This past year Amy was in charge of the mail room and has now switched roles. She now works in the Letter Department with our managers to prepare charge notices, postponements, waivers, conferences and training forms.
Carol is a member of our Letter Department, and has gained expertise in the area of medical letters, FMLA letters, return-to-work letters, etc. She also can be found updating the medical letter databases, FMLA database, and other databases on a daily basis.
Kendra is able to work a number of positions, including certifying transcripts, checking in transcripts, working with transcriptionists, emailing, scanning, proofing stations, etc. For the time being Kendra will be considered a "floater" who will fill in for those areas that require assistance in order to meet timelines and/or deadlines.
Kathy is the newest member of our staff. She is assisting us with invoice entry, mail room processing, calendars, discipline logs and daily file scanning. In the afternoons she can be found on one of our mail room proofing stations.
Nathan is available as our IT Specialist. He monitors our backup process, or internet access, assists our contractors with computer problems, assists with file conversions, and handles in-house computer issues and research projects as they arise.
Dick is Marcia's husband of 30+ years. He has recently retired from a totally separate business entity. Although he continues in a consulting capacity for other businesses, he is available to assist us as needed.
Millie & Jerzee are becoming seasoned at greeting visitors at CAS Associates. Their team's primary responsibility is to enthusiastically bark at everyone that enters the front door of the business. Quickly our daily visitors learn that Millie & Jerzee look forward to their arrival, especially when they provide them treats.
